Nissan Sentra Mirrors – Learn How to Replace Them

Remove Old Mirror
Step 1
Initiate the process by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Then roll down the window and take keys out of ignition.
Step 2
Locate the inside door trim panel and take the panel out by using a screw driver. Pry screw and clips that hold the panel.
Step 3
Now use a screw driver covered by cloth and then you pry the plastic triangle-shaped mirror cover from the door panel. Then remove the sail trim panel.
Step 4
The door frame of Nissan Sentra and Nissan Sentra mirrors are attached by a few bolts and nuts, to remove the old mirror, remove the bolts and nuts.
Step 5
Take the entire mirror assembly out from the door and remove the old mirror.
Install New Mirror
Step 1
Place the new Nissan Sentra mirrors in place, and reattach the nuts and bolts in the same order you removed them. Make sure the nuts and bolts are tight enough before you move to the next step.
Step 2
Now re-connect Sentra’s electrical supply wire that comes out of the door panel with the mirror wire.
Step 3
The mirror panel and interior cover have to be replaced now. Put the door panel back in place. Replace all clips and screws. Then check whether the lights are properly working or not.
Remember to not to remove Nissan Sentra mirrors when they are cold or frozen as that can cause the mirror to crack. Give the mirror enough time to be warm before you initiate the process of replacing. Additionally, you should always remember to remove the negative cable from your car’s battery before you start replacing the mirror.
